Transfer Fees Rates:

  • Single Buyer:
    • Up to €85,000: 3%
    • €85,001 – €170,000: 5%
    • Over €170,001: 8%
  • Joint Buyers:
    • Up to €170,000: 3%
    • Above €170,000 to €340,000: 5%
    • Above €340,000: 8%

Stamp Duties: Stamp duties are taxes paid by property purchasers when registering the property sales agreement with the land registry.

  • Up to €5,000: 0.00%
  • Above €5,000 to €170,000: 0.15%
  • Above €170,000: 0.20%

Exemptions:

  • Total Exemption: For transactions subject to VAT.
  • 50% Exemption: For transactions not subject to VAT, applicable to first-time sales from December 2, 2011, onwards.
  • Family Transfers: No transfer fees for transfers from parent to child.
